However, anyone already logged in at the time will be given up to an hour to complete their session before all online players will be removed from Destiny at 8AM PDT, which is 4PM BST for all UK based players.Bungie hasn't announced what the maintenance is particularly targeting, but the hope is that players will suffer fewer disconnection errors and matchmaking woes once the maintenance is complete.Update v1.0.3 should fix an issue with Trials of the Nine not resetting, Clan Engrams not being rewarded and Public events not giving players Clan XP.
It's believed that once the update is officially released it will finally remove the "kek" armour design completely from the game, which caused such uproar last week.
As the team was busy patching the game, others were already asking the important questions – the very same questions we know many of you are asking now."In explaining how this happened, Deej said that: "Graphic designers routinely reference real world art, iconography, typeface, and other design elements to inform the choices they make."In this case, some of the reference imagery featured the simple mirrored chevron shapes found in the finished piece.""Unfortunately, that review was conducted to explore whether or not we were comfortable with the connection to the original, innocuous 'kek' internet meme."The more contemporary, vile derivation that has been repurposed by hate groups was not surfaced through this process, and therefore, the armour was approved for ship."It remains to be seen what the "kek" armour will be replaced with in the game, but we suspect patch notes may be released following the 22.214.171.124 update.
Destiny maintenance has now started meaning players will no longer be able to access the game until maintenance is completed at 11 AM PDT, which as mentioned previously, is 7PM BST for UK based players.
Destiny 2 will be down from 2pm UK time, although players already logged in will be able to continue playing until 3pm.
All players will be kicked out of the game at 3pm, as maintenance begins in earnest.
