Charles William Cordrey -- Charles William Cordrey, 99, a lifelong resident of Delmar, passed away peacefully at the Seaford Center on Sunday, Dec. He graduated from Delmar High School and then secured a job at the newly opened Du Pont Co. He married Norma Jane Adkins and they had two sons, Brian and Jeffrey. Charles had many interests - number one on his list was golf, which he played into his 90’s. He was involved in many youth groups teaching gun safety. Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Graves and son, Wilfred (Jeffrenia) Tatum. “Dot” Hudson of Laurel, died in her sleep on Friday, Dec. John Francis ‘Jack’ Morgan -- John Francis “Jack” Morgan, 79, of Seaford, passed away on Monday, Dec. Y., the son of the late John Morgan and Catherine Kelley Morgan Waterbury.He also loved photography and left his family with many beautiful pictures to treasure. Richard is survived by his wife, Carrie Lee Meding; his sons, Scott Meding, Randy Meding and Bruce and Chris Porter; and his grandchildren, Alexus, Joshua and Zachary Meding and Jesse Sucharski (Porter). Karen Lynne Morris -- Karen Lynne Morris, 58, passed away at her home on Monday, Sept. Karen was the daughter of Charles Morris of Seaford and the late Joyce Morris. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving from 1954 to 1964.As Mary matured, she transformed into a striking natural beauty, not so much the girl next door, but an exotic looking woman.Being dark-complected, Mary was later compared to Elizabeth Taylor.She was an outstanding cook and was well-known for her homemade fudge, cakes and candy.Pat is survived by her children, Sheila Marine, Robert “Buddy” Short and his wife Laurie and Marsha Middleton, all of Laurel; three grandchildren, Jaime Marine, Rob Marine and Robert “Gator” Short Jr.; two great-grandsons, J. Moore and Waylon Short; two sisters, Ginny Whaley and Darlene Morgan; and one sister-in-law, Irene King. Flaudine was born in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Catherine Cropper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Richard Otwell in 1983, a daughter, Catherine Mae Otwell and her siblings, William B. She also attended an elocution and finishing school as a gift from her beloved Aunt Pauline Tresnak Satterfield. Patsy Ellen Short -- Patsy Ellen Short, 75, of Laurel, passed away on Sunday, Dec.Jack was a Stamford resident for many years, moving to Norwalk in 1984.Upon retirement in 2006, Jack and Sandy moved to Seaford.Her beauty earned her the title of Miss Bridgeville Greenwood.
